Guide Dog Users, Inc. (GDUI) is a non-profit support and advocacy organization, comprised primarily of blind people partnered with guide dogs. Guide dog trainers, puppy-raisers, family members and friends interested in guide dog issues are also welcome members of GDUI.
GDUI serves as a network, providing support to guide dog teams throughout the United States and around the world. We "lead the way" in educating the public about guide dogs and are actively involved in access issues. Through our Advocacy Department, we provide technical assistance and advice to guide dog handlers denied admittance to any public accommodation.
GDUI makes available the specialty items in this catalog to benefit the guide dog and handler. Proceeds from the sale of these items help to continue the important work of our organization.
Items have been specially chosen for convenience, practical design, or as unique gifts for people who just love guide dogs. We hope you will find them interesting and useful. We look forward to your order.
We at Guide Dog Users, Inc. make every effort to fill all orders in a timely and efficient manner and pride ourselves on excellent customer service.
Our order processing center is located in the eastern time zone of the United States. Since GDUI has no paid staff at the present time, the best time to reach us in person is during weekday afternoons or evenings until 9 p.m. or on weekends. At all other times, you are likely to reach our password-protected voice-mail. Please feel free to leave us your order, or, if you'd prefer, your name and phone number, and we'll call you back. As the GDUI telephone numbers ring in private homes, please be mindful of any time zone differences when calling.
All orders must be pre-paid by check or money order, or via credit card. All checks must be in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank. No merchandise will be shipped before receipt of payment.
To order, please provide GDUI with a listing of the items you are ordering, along with your name, address and phone number. Please remember to add the amount specified for shipping, as shown in the Shipping and Handling Chart. All checks must be made payable to GDUI.
Credit Card Orders: We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. To place a credit card order, please call toll-free: 1-866-799-8436 option 1 to speak with our office manager. The minimum amount for credit card orders is $10.00.
When ordering via credit card, please provide us with your name (as it appears on the card), your shipping address, daytime and evening phone numbers (with area code), your credit card number and the card's expiration date as well as the 3-digit security code on the back of the card. (If the billing address for the card is different from the shipping address, please give us both addresses, as this is necessary for credit card address/owner verification). Orders are usually shipped within two weeks of receipt.
Only complete orders are shipped. If shipment is delayed for more than two weeks, we will notify you.
